›Why does Discord reject my emoji even under 256 KB?
Discord enforces both the byte limit and a 128×128 resolution cap for emoji slots — and non-square uploads get letterboxed. The Emoji preset handles all three: square crop, exact resize, byte target.
›Emoji or Sticker — which should I use?
Emoji (128×128) appear inline with text in any channel; stickers (320×320) are larger, picker-only, and support up to 60 per boosted server. For reactions, emoji is usually what you want.
›Does it keep transparency?
Yes. GIF supports 1-bit transparency; for smoother edges pick the Sticker preset with APNG output, which keeps semi-transparent alpha.
›How do I make the loop seamless?
Turn on Ping-pong loop: the animation plays forward then backward, hiding any jarring cut between the last and first frames.
›Can I use a phone video as the source?
Convert it first with the Video to GIF tool (trim to ≤ 3 s), then bring the result here — or drop the video straight into the compressor on desktop.
›Is there a limit on how many emoji I can make?
No — the tool runs in your browser, so it's unlimited and free. Discord itself caps servers at 50 emoji slots (more with boosts).
